Joyful, Cheerful, Thankful?

A Prayer for Joy this Thanksgiving {PoppySmith.com}Do you want to be joyful on Thanksgiving Dayand through the holidays? Let me encourage you to remember: It begins with YOU, not what you have or what your house looks like or how your turkey turns out! Here’s a gift from me to YOU: A prayer for JOY! I love it because it makes me smile, laugh, and delight in God’s goodness. Let Him make you joyful, cheerful, and thankful this Holiday season even if your turkey is dry, your kids aren’t thankful, or your relatives drive you nuts!

Gracious Lord,Make me cheerful. Make me laugh out loud. Make me see the rich blessings you offer. Help me experience satisfying joy in you. Open my eyes that I may see the pleasures you provide and the glories you promise.Remind me of the preciousness of life on earth. Let me be open to spontaneity, serendipity and surprise. Help me surrender to the delight of each moment. Give me energy, enthusiasm and satisfaction in my work. Allow me to embrace contentment. Show me the opportunities in difficulties and teach me to forget regrets.Help me to share with a cheerful heart out of the abundance of your provision. Fill me with peace and gladness when I look to you.Today I will celebrate with joy all that You are.Amen.-Anonymous

Psalm 100

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.

For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
