Transform Your Thinking, Transform Your Life!

Do you talk to yourself? I enjoy chatting to myself because it's a way to have an intelligent conversation with someone who agrees with me. (I read that remark somewhere and loved it!) I talk to myself all the time: in the store, when I'm cooking, driving, whatever.Am I crazy? NO! In fact, when I ask audiences if they talk to themselves they all laugh and shout "Yes." But what we have to realize is not everything we tell ourselves is true. When God called Jeremiah to be brave and speak for Him, Jerry's first response was, "No way!" Why? Because his immediate thought was, I can't do this. I'm too young. You have the wrong person (Jer. 1:4-8) Some of you might not relate to his scaredy cat response, but most of us do.Most people struggle with FEAR. "I CAN’T" dominates their response to life and to God. No wonder Christians are told to, "Be transformed by the renewing of your MIND" (Rom. 12:2). God doesn't want us to go around defeated and living without faith in His power to work through us and in us. How does He want us to respond to life's challenges? How about saying,"I CAN do all things (that God calls me to) through Christ" ?Your thinking determines how you go through life and what you do for God. Your thinking produces your feelings and drives your decisions. Your thinking either spurs you to trust and put your faith in God, or keeps you limited to facing life in your own strengthAs you read this blog, let me ask you:Are you facing something now that you sense God is calling you to? Is He asking you to step out in faith? To trust Him to sort things out and provide what you need? How might you respond differently if you put God in the centre and not your fears? Why not trust Him to be who He said He is: your Guide, Friend, Protector, Source of Peace. Transform your thinking and you will live a transformed life.
