What has power over you? Lies or Truth?

When we believe what isn't true, we cut ourselves off from much that God wants us to experience and accomplish for him. When your inner messages tell you, "God can't really love me," you forfeit a wonderful sense of security, a spiritual birthright. When you tell yourself, "I'll never change," you're succumbing to the Enemy's tactics."I can't do that" hides the thrill of discovering your God-given potential--once you fight through those scary feelings.Negative self-talk is costly. Here's three tips that can move you forward:1.Think back and identify where your fears and negative self-talk has affected you.2. What choices did you make, what opportunities did you reject, how has your life been affected?3. When you've done this--dream about what could have happened if you had moved forward free of fear. When you've done this, think of one current or upcoming situation and imagine it turning out well. Pray about it. Trust God is with you in it. And begin to taste a life free of bondage and self-imposed limitations.
